3M ™ Electrical Tape 1205 is a 1-mil thick polyimide tape coated in front of pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. The tape's pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive allows the tape to be used at temperatures up to 311 degrees F (155 degrees C), and is UL 510 Flame Retardant certified.
Used in applications involving electronics requiring exposure to high temperatures, thin insulating materials for wrapping coils, transformers, capacitors, wires
The tape can also be used in printed circuit board assembly as a temporary coating used in wave soldering.
