3M Mastic Scotch 2228 electrical tape is a self-adhesive, elastic rubber tape that provides insulation and waterproof sealing.
Adheres to rough surfaces.
Compatible and easily adheres to various insulation and cable sheathing materials of electrical wires.
Excellent insulation, sealing, moisture resistance, and water resistance.
Continuous operating temperature is 90°C and short-term operating temperature is 130°C, corresponding to the operating temperature of the cable.
Applications:
3M 2228 tape creates primary insulation and waterproofing for splices and low-voltage cables up to 1000V.
Creates primary insulation for medium-voltage busbars up to 35KV.
Smoothes rough surfaces, such as bolt connection points on busbars.
Rebuilds cable sheaths and provides waterproof sealing.
