3M 92 Tape is a polyimide film with a thermosetting silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape must be coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which requires no heat, moisture or other preparation before or after application. The adhesive coating must be smooth and uniform and free from lumps and bare spots. There must be no separation between adjacent layers of the roll. The tape must operate in temperatures between -40°F (-40°C) and 356°F (180°C)
Applications:
3M 92 Tape is used for high temperature electrical applications where thin, rigid insulating material is required to wrap coils, transformers, capacitors, wire harnesses and to anchor conductors/terminal panels . It is also used in printed circuit board assembly as a solder wave masking tape
Outstanding technical features:
Material: Polyimide Film
Adhesive ingredients: sensitive silicone
Thickness: 0.08mm
Width: 305mm
Length: 33m
Color: copper color
Bond to steel: 25 oz / inch (2.8 N / 10 mm)
Tensile Strength Width: 30 lbs/inch (53 N/10 mm)
Dielectric breakdown: > 7500 V
Insulation resistance: > 1 x 10^6 Megaohms
Cut and process to required size.
