3M™ 5559 Water Contact Indicator Tape is a tape used to indicate the possibility of water contact. This tape changes color from white to red upon direct contact with water.
The top film can be printed using thermal transfer, flexible printing, and screen printing, improving ink absorption.
The top film protects against dirt and moisture during handling.
The backing paper has high water transport and absorption capabilities.
The acrylic adhesive provides strong bonding strength to most surfaces, including energy-grade plastics such as polypropylene and powder-coated surfaces.
Saves on construction materials, uses no adhesives, and meets UL-969 standards.
Applications include water contact indicators.
